Wellfie Wednesday: Change Talk

It seems as though these Wellfie Wednesday posts have been coming at opportune times in my life. Either they discuss an aspect of my life I have been wanting and needing to work on, or an area I have just started working on addressing. This week is no different. Today’s Wellfie Wednesday: Change Talk.

There are a lot of aspects to making a change. This picture is a summary of today’s Wellfie Wednesday post.

I was recently interviewed by Matthew Villegas, SPT regarding changes that needed to be made in Physical Therapy programs, and how to avoid burnout in both DPT School as well as in a career as a physical therapist. (That interview can be found HERE)

This chart looks like a lot of the changes I have recently made for myself in all aspects of my personal health. Making a behavioral change is not easy, but it can be done. It is usually more successful when you have a support system (4. Strength in numbers) but it can be done solo too.

The first step is acknowledging that a change needs to be made. This summer was the perfect time for me to join #SummerofMove and my team #MQuattro because it is for a good cause, it is getting me healthy and working out again, and they keep me accountable (5. Accountability)

ONE THING I LEARNED TODAY:

Behavioral change is not an easy thing to do. If you are going to be successful with it, you are going to need help. Today’s Wellfie Wednesday allowed me to see all of the intricate details that go into making a change. I am hoping by implementing some of these aspects, I will be able to make the change/transformation at a 10x rate. Update on goals: I am down to 314, 3 weeks to go.
