Teach Me Something Tuesday: TheraBar Education (T-Bar)
Have you ever had an elbow injury? Or maybe a forearm injury? Have you ever felt like your grip strength was decreasing or your hand-eye coordination just wasn’t up to par? Well I have some good news for you. Today’s Teach Me Something Tuesday: TheraBar Education (T-Bar) blog will fill you in on a tool worth investing in. The TheraBar (or T-bar) is produced by Theraband (the company that makes your resistance bands). But there are several other versions. These bars come in different colors (each one being a stiffer resistance).
Why Purchase a Therabar?
So why would you need one (or more) of these bars? Well the fact of the matter is they are very versatile. Therabars are handy for treating injuries in the elbow, forearm, wrist, hand and fingers. They are also grooved so they can help with massage and soft tissue work (hello rolling). They are also good for training if you are trying to improve arm strength, wrist strength, or grip strength.
Who Would Benefit From Therabar Use?
Anyone with pain, injury, weakness, numbness or tingling or other arm issues would benefit from having a Therabar. But there is one group in particular I would like to highlight (for several reasons): Gamers! That’s right. People who play countless hours of video games, esports athletes, or even just the amateur game enthusiast could benefit in many ways from owning a Therabar. Over the next several weeks, I will be rolling out several blogs (and now VLOGS!) about what tools gamers should be using and how they should be using them to their benefit.
ONE THING I LEARNED TODAY:
This stuff hunk of rubber called a Therbar is actually very versatile. There are countless ways to use this thing, especially for the upper extremity or arm. Grab you a Green one if you are going to buy just one because it is a medium resistance. (Or go for the rainbow pack if you are a baller!)
