Teach Me Something Tuesday: Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone!

For my blog post today; Teach Me Something Tuesday: Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone! I stepped out of my comfort zone in a few big ways this weekend and guess what? IT FELT GREAT! I attended a conference that was NOT a physical therapy related conference. It was the National Fantasy Football Convention conference in support of The Fantasy Football Counselor Podcast. I was also there selling my FANTASY FOOTBALL INJURY REVIEW COURSE. A course that educates the general public to almost every injury that can happen during an NFL season and how it affects return to play.

Why You Should Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone…

I have been playing fantasy football with the same group of guys for over a decade now. We play two different leagues (one re-draft and one dynasty league) and it has become a bit of a passion of mine. I love injury analysis. For years I had told my friends and league members that I could be the next Stephania Bell (she has become a bit of a hero of mine). I literally had no idea what the steps are to becoming Stephania Bell, so I started getting involved in the field of Fantasy Sports.

I started writing freelance articles for The Fantasy Doctors, doing guest spots on interviews and podcasts, and now creating my own course. The National Fantasy Football Convention not only helped me network with people in an industry I was interested in, but it got more eyes on me, my expertise, and my course, that I never could have done otherwise.

ONE THING I LEARNED TODAY:

Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. So many good things can come from it! Whether it is going to a gym, or starting a new workout routine or sport, or networking with people outside of your circle of influence, you’ll likely benefit.
