Should You Add Pilates to Your Practice as an Additional Revenue Stream?

I have helped build several online courses at this point in my career. It is one of the services that I offer at PT Educator that I truly love doing. From creating the outline and skeleton of a syllabus, to building the curriculum, to coming up with a marketing plan and launch. One of the courses I enjoyed creating the most was for a client of mine, The Pilates Expert, Stephen Dunn. His course, The Dunn Method, answers the question: Should You Add Pilates to Your Practice as an Additional Revenue Stream?

The Dunn Method: Pilates for Physical Therapists

You can order the course; The Dunn Method here. But let me tell you a little background on the course. I went down to Stephen’s clinic in Austin to film the course not knowing one thing about Pilates. I helped outline the course and design it, but I agreed to head down to film the module with Stephen because as a lifelong learner, I truly wanted to know more about Pilates. I knew it existed, and I just thought it was kind of like Yoga but it used machines. Boy was this physical therapist and professor wrong.

How the Course Turned Out

I left Core Therapy and Pilates that day knowing everything there was to know about Pilates and how to successfully incorporate a Pilates program into a Physical Therapy business. Now my practice is a Mobile Therapy Practice, so it is not exactly the right fit for me right now. But if you enjoy Pilates or have a little bit of free space in your clinic and are looking for another stream of revenue to add to your practice, join Stephen’s Dunn Method course ASAP! Sign ups end for this cohort 2/11/20!

One Thing I Learned Today

For today’s Throw Me the Ball Thursday blog post, I am calling Pilates a sport. I would definitely say that athletes can benefit from Pilates. Its a set of motions that can benefit almost every age group. If you would like to hear Stephen go into more depth about Pilates and his course, give this episode of The Healthcare Education Transformation Podcast a listen in which Stephen was the guest! So Should You Add Pilates to Your Practice as an Additional Revenue Stream? The answer is probably yes! Stephen has even written a book describing how Pilates can help Back Pain.
