May The Fourth Be With Chew
ITS STAR WARS DAY! May the Fourth! How are you celebrating? I wore my Storm Trooper socks. But this date doesn’t exactly align with the Foodie Friday recipe blog post I wanted to write, so I had to get Punny and went with: May The Fourth Be With Chew! This recipe will likely be one of my last posts on Foodie Friday for a while since I have talked it over with my wife, and she will likely be taking over my Foodie Friday Blog Posts. Almost all of the posts I write about are simply me rehashing how great the meal was that she cooked for us the night before anyway. So I am just cutting out the middle man.
4 Ingredient Meal For May The Fourth
This meal is SO simple and it is literally 4 ingredients. You may want to hold your breath for this: ITS ALSO VEGETARIAN! (GASP) I know, from a meat-a-saurus like myself, this may come as a surprise, but we are generally trying to increase the vegetable intake to 80% or more and protein to 20%. This was not only simple, but it was delicious.
Bean Sprouts (as many as you’d like…I ate the whole bag)
Toasted Sesame Oil
Coconut Secret Coconut Aminos
Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend
Saute the bean sprouts in sesame oil for 2-4 minutes until soft. Add a healthy splash of coconut aminos. Cook for 2-4 minutes more until the bean sprouts are coated in coconut aminos. Place the sprouts in a bowl and sprinkle with Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel Seasoning. Enjoy! Thats it. There are little to no measurements, very few directions, and this was like an asian noodle meal, but healthy! It was delicious.
ONE THING I LEARNED TODAY:
I can enjoy completely vegetarian meals. I would prefer not to, but it can be done. It is also fun to combine food blogs and Star Wars puns.
