The High Performance Planner
People ask me all of the time how I juggle 10 different projects at once. The answer is, I am ok with juggling several balls at once knowing that I may drop a few. If I am able to give 80% across 10 different projects, I know that my 80% is better than most people’s 100%, so again, I am ok with the product I end up putting forth. But here is a tool that I have started using to organize all of my current irons in the fire.
The High Performance Planner
The Pros and The Cons
I am big fan of the Brandon Bruchard High Performance Planner because it has a lot of neat and helpful areas to write to do lists and keep you motivated to finish them. The major downside to this planner is that it only covers two months. (From a business standpoint this is a great model because you need six a year every year) I would much rather have one planner to keep my whole year in. But its the best one I have found so far. It comes in several different colors and it is quite motivational.
ONE THING I LEARNED TODAY:
I have always been a bit of an entrepreneur. Back when I was about 12 years old and selling golf balls on the 10th hole of a local course in the summer. So it is not a surprise that usually have several irons in the fire. But when you have multiple streams of revenue all working at once, you have to have some system or way of keeping due dates and deadlines in order. Try a High Performance Planner for two months and see if you dig it! I give it an overall thumbs up despite it’s flaws and downfalls.
