Foodie Friday: Real Talk by Other Half & Kent Falls Brewing Companies
Today’s Blog Post, Foodie Friday: Real Talk by Other Half & Kent Falls Brewing Companies beer review. This review will be short and sweet (pun completely intended here). This IPA was a collaboration between The Other Half Brewing Company in Brooklyn, New York and The Kent Falls Brewing Company in Kent, Connecticut. My friend Joe sent me this one (who coincidentally is working on some pretty amazing Mead Wine over here). I will elaborate on Joe’s Mead Wine in another future blog post.
The first thing to recognize here is this beer is a COLLABORATION!!! I have said it before and I will say it again, COLLABORATION IS A WINNING RECIPE FOR LIFE IN GENERAL! This beer is super light and golden and really sweet and smooth for an IPA. The best part of the sweetness though is that it is not overly fruity. It tastes like citrus, but not like a fruit salad. Once again, for someone who is not a huge I.P.A. fan, this beer was actually very light and tasty.
ONE THING I LEARNED TODAY:
I love to see that many Microbreweries have hopped on the collaboration train. Not only is it more efficient financially, in the end, everybody wins. Both breweries are bringing their “A Game” because they don’t want to be shown up or get embarrassed. The average Joe Beer drinker wins because they generally come together to create a great product. And anyone in life who collaborates wins because positivity and working together is the direction we should all be heading in. You are simply going to be more successful if you work together as opposed to separately and by yourself. So go out and grab a Real Talk, but if you can’t find one of those, grab any collaboration and support teamwork through beer!
